Principal's Message

From the Desk of Dr. Smith, Principal
 

Dear Love T Nolan Parents, Guardians, and Children,

I am thrilled to write this welcome back letter as your Principal for the 24-25 school year! It is truly an honor to serve our community! This year is a very special year because we are merging two schools with one heart that is full of love for our children! I would like to welcome all our new families and returning families.

I look forward to continuing our collaboration of providing our students with an effective and engaging educational experience. Our primary goal is to ensure student proficiency in core academic subjects, so we will continue to refine Tier I instruction and offer intervention services to meet the needs of all students. As always, we will look to our families to be positive partners in their children’s educational journey.

Our Goals for this 24- 25 school year are below:

  • Increase percentage of  3rd-5th grade FAY students scoring proficient and distinguished on GMAS.
  • ELA- from 40 to 54    MATH- waiting on GMAS results     SCIENCE from 37 to 50
  • Decrease the number of Out of School Suspension days from 97 to 87.
  • Decrease the percentage of severe/chronically absent students from 24% to 18%
